Getting Started
Installation Guide
This guide will walk you through the process of installing TerraSolstice products in your home or business. Before beginning installation, ensure you have all necessary components and tools. For solar panel installation, we recommend consulting with a certified electrician to ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
Quick Setup
Follow these steps for a quick setup of your TerraSolstice system: 1) Unbox all components and verify contents against the packing list. 2) Install the mounting hardware according to the included template. 3) Connect the main unit to power. 4) Download the TerraSolstice app and follow the in-app instructions to complete setup and connect to your system.
System Requirements
TerraSolstice products are designed to work with standard electrical systems. For optimal performance, ensure your installation site receives adequate sunlight (for solar products) and has a stable internet connection for smart features. Our monitoring systems require a minimum of 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity and are compatible with most modern smartphones and tablets.
Product Documentation
Solar Panels
Our solar panels utilize advanced photovoltaic technology to maximize energy conversion efficiency. Each panel is rated for specific power output under standard test conditions. Performance may vary based on installation angle, geographic location, and weather conditions. Refer to the specific product documentation for detailed specifications and optimal installation parameters.
Smart Grids
TerraSolstice Smart Grid systems enable intelligent energy distribution across your property. The central hub communicates with all connected devices to optimize power usage and storage. The system includes automatic load balancing, peak usage management, and integration with local utility grid when available. Advanced users can access additional configuration options through the developer portal.
Energy Storage
Our energy storage solutions provide reliable power backup and help maximize the utility of your solar installation. Batteries are designed for deep cycle use with minimal degradation over time. The integrated battery management system prevents overcharging and ensures optimal temperature control. Storage capacity can be expanded by adding additional battery modules to your system.
Monitoring Systems
TerraSolstice monitoring systems provide real-time data on energy production, consumption, and system health. The dashboard displays current power flow, historical data, and predictive analytics to help optimize your energy usage. Alerts can be configured for various events including production anomalies, grid outages, and maintenance requirements.
API Documentation
Authentication
All API requests require authentication using OAuth 2.0. To obtain access tokens, register your application in the TerraSolstice Developer Portal. Include the access token in the Authorization header of all requests. Tokens expire after 24 hours and must be refreshed using the provided refresh token. Rate limiting is applied to all API endpoints to ensure system stability.
API Endpoints
The TerraSolstice API provides endpoints for retrieving system data, managing devices, and configuring alerts. Data endpoints return JSON formatted responses with energy production, consumption, and storage metrics. Device management endpoints allow for remote configuration of connected systems. Webhook endpoints are available for real-time event notifications.
Code Examples
Example code snippets are provided for common programming languages including JavaScript, Python, and Ruby. These examples demonstrate how to authenticate, make API requests, and process responses. For more complex integrations, refer to our GitHub repository which contains complete sample applications and integration libraries.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
This section addresses frequently encountered issues with TerraSolstice products. If your system is not producing expected power output, check for shading, dirt accumulation on panels, or connection issues. For connectivity problems, verify your network settings and ensure the system is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Most issues can be resolved through a system restart or by updating to the latest firmware version.
Error Codes
TerraSolstice systems generate specific error codes to help diagnose problems. Error codes in the 100-199 range indicate hardware issues, 200-299 indicate connectivity problems, and 300-399 indicate software or firmware issues. Each error code is accompanied by a recommended action in the system display or mobile app. For persistent errors, contact our technical support team.
